Bertie had all his birthdays in go this week. He has a new 60litre LPG tank (actually holds 50 litres), a 120 watt solar panel, a towing hitch on his tow bar and a smart new mifi system from http://motorhomewifi.com/. All this in the last week and now we are ready for the big trek but sadly there are no firm plans to do that yet although I have to admit the idea of spending the winter south of the Pyrennees is very attractive!

We were very pleased that it is possible to switch between standard gas bottles and the fixed tank. This means that we can use up the gas in our, nearly full, 11kg bottle and in future if we are stuck somewhere with no access to an LPG fill up we could still connect a bottle.

Even in February the sun was shining enough to put power into the battery – the Hymer battery display showed over 13 volts.
